About the designer …
Tanya was destined to be an interior designer. With a family bred in design, what child at the mere age of nine years’ old space plans bedroom furniture and re-accessorizes on a weekly basis!? I guess the rest is history, so the old saying goes…
Tanya started her interior design education at Michigan State University, later to change her major to Advertising and Marketing. With a BA in Advertising and a minor in Studio Art to boot, Tanya embarked in the world of Advertising. A mere ten years’ later, the itch, passion, and desire for interior design reared itself again. Tanya decided to make a career change and obtained an interior design degree from Baker College – now possessing 20+ years of industry knowledge and experience.

Working with Tanya over the past few years has been a pleasure for two main reasons.
First, Tanya’s personality makes you feel as if you are settling in to discuss design with a good friend. She is always ready to listen to what I want or don’t want and does not try to persuade me toward what she wants. With her, it is about the client. Tanya was not the first designer I called upon through the years’, but certainly the best.
The second reason I enjoy working with Tanya is that from the very beginning she seemed to have a definite sense as to what would appeal to me. Tanya never showed me colors or styles that I wasn’t comfortable with; however, she did introduce me to some new territory that I would never have chosen or even thought about on my own but love having around me (red in my family room!). As I look around my house, I really love all the pieces that Tanya has put together for me to make a comfortable, attractive setting that I am comfortable in and enjoy inviting guests to see.
